So I embarked on a great hunt for a clothes washer and dryer that would fit into our new 1300square foot house (and satisfy my craving for home gadgetry). I was searching for a all-in-one unit (as I always thought they should be). When I say all-in-one I don’t mean stacked, I mean in the same space as one of the units occupy conventionally. This quest was one of my easier ones because there is just not that much out there. The available brands are LG, Haier, and Equator. Out of these, only one did not get negative reviews. Yeah, the highest priced unit – LG. But this machine ends up to be an engineer’s dream. Not only does it have blinkenlichten and piepenton but it is designed around the non-gender-roled societly we now live in. If you live in one of those families where the woman of the house or maid does all of the laundry once a week (or so), do NOT buy this machine. However, if you have only enough time to throw in a load now and then and you do have the time or focus to monitor, this IS designed for you. It will even toss your clothes every minute or so to prevent wrinkling when you forget it in the machine. And is has sensors out the wazoo to determine, for example, how heavy your load is or when your clothes are at the right moisture level.
