Rubin N00b, Labor and Delivery Story

We were hoping that were not going to have to go the inducing route, so were relieved and excited when Heather started labor contractions at 8pm. She went from nothing right into full force labor contractions 9 minutes apart. By the time we were ready to leave the house, an hour and a half later, Heather was having contractions 4 minutes apart. When we arrived at the hospital, a half hour after that, Heather was down to 2 minutes apart. Then a stork flew in and delivered baby boy (and screemed a lot while doing so). I would like to thank and recommend Dr. DeLuca, the OB, for her skill and excellent bed-side manner.

Please welcome Gabriel Steven Rubin, our new farm hand son at 9lb 2oz and 22 inches long: Gabe_1_day_old

Overcoming Procrastination

Except:

Procrastination or “task aversion” is the irrational delay of an intended course of action, even while expecting to be worse off for the delay (compare temporisation). The procrastinator deviates from the task, usually in favor of another more enjoyable (or less unenjoyable) activity. This behavior is pervasive throughout society – everyone procrastinates to some degree – but some people are so chronically affected as to be severely debilitated.
