De-Evolving The War On Drugs
Posted by A R Baboon in Poly-Sigh on March 19, 2006

Why are so few talking about Evo Morales? The President of Bolivia (and the Coca Growers Association). An outspoken admirer of Ernesto ‘Che’ Guevara, Evo has claimed that he is the United States’ “worst nightmare.” Prior to his canadicy, Morales was the leader of the violent resistance to the US led coca eradication efforts. Now, as president, Morales has halted all such efforts claiming that the coca produced in Bolivia is for “cultural” purposes.
I understand that if we turned our focus toward every major world event we would have no time even to eat or drink but this one will directly impact the US. I wish I could claim that drug abuse only has Darwinian impacts but that is not even close to the case. The reality of the situation here is that unless more is done to counter (meaning diplomaticly and/or politically) Morales, cocaine imports will rise, drug abuse will become cheaper, crime will increase.
Stick Figures In Peril

I have grown to love Flickr‘s explore pages. Just simply incredible photos by so many different talented people out there. It is another great example of what the internet was made to do.
I have always thoroughly enjoyed caution drawings (aka Stick Figures in Peril). My father owns a commercial print shop and the presses have these drawings all over them. So from a young age I have gotten giggles from the “don’t slice yourself in half” illustrations. You can imagine my glee when the Flickr Explore page led me to this pool of photos

D*S came accross this bit of nice design for small outdoor animals. This looks like a awesome way to expand my guinea fowl capacity without looking like a full up farm.
